It's Pumpkin Season!

Pumpkin season is in full swing! 🎃 Did you know that pumpkins traditionally stood for rebirth and fertility? The average season can go anywhere from September through November and a pumpkin can last up to three months after harvest. Pumpkins live in the “in-between” and therefore symbolize transition and movement towards the darker times.

They can be a symbol of prosperity, growth and abundance as well. Usually they were eaten for their flesh, not so much their seeds, at least during pre-Columbian times. Because of their thickness, they also proved ideal for storing during the colder times to come. Enjoy the season and being halfway in fall already. 🍁🎃
